Rick Phillips, Bob Roberts and I attended the 51st annual Delmarva Poultry Industry (DPI) meeting in Ocean City, MD on Sep 28th through 30th. DPI is the nonprofit trade association working for the continued progress of the meat chicken industry in Delaware, the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and the Eastern Shore of Virginia. In existence since 1948, DPI’s members include more than 1,000 farm families raising chickens, five companies producing birds on Delmarva, and hundreds of chicken company employees, hundreds of allied industry suppliers of products and services, and Delmarva-based, non-chicken businesses that recognize the important work DPI does to keep the local chicken industry strong.
The meeting focus was on live production and poultry health opportunities. Attendees include all the major Delmarva Poultry producers such as Tyson, Perdue, Mountaire Farms, Amick Farms, Allen Harim, Georges, Farbest and many more. Rick, Bob and I had the opportunity to meet a lot of customers and industry influencers in addition to attending information presentations. The meeting was a tremendous success for Anitox in that we were able to speak to a lot of industry influencers and were able to secure appointments with key broiler companies to evaluate Maxi-Mil and Termin-8!
Please let Rick, Bob or I know if you have any questions about the event.
