The EMEA team arrived back from Hanover late last week after a busy and successful EuroTier. Over 160,000 people visited the Hannover Messe over four days, and Anitox was one of nearly 2,500 exhibitors. The week began with final stand preparations and team briefings; Will and John arrived early on Monday to ensure that the stand looked as good as possible before the opening of the show on the 15th.
The exhibition served as an excellent way to advance discussions with both new and existing opportunities. With the backdrop of avian influenza spreading rapidly across Europe, talk inevitably included discussions on how Anitox products can prevent post-production feed contamination.
The on-stand meeting room was booked throughout most of the exhibition and used for productive meetings with our Middle East distributors, discussions with key customers from across EMEA, and contact with industry press. Rick Phillips gave two excellent interviews to representatives from AgriNews and AviCultura, both Spanish magazines (with publications in LATAM as well).
Each busy afternoon was rounded off with a whisky tasting session, where visitors to the stand were able to come and continue discussions while testing their taste buds by entering a tasting competition. The winners of the competition, Pieter Oosthuysen (Key account and regional manager at Cobb) and Marcel van Culemborg (Consultant and researcher at Zetadec), will soon be receiving their prizes. Marcel has already expressed an interest in further discussions with Anitox after fruitful discussions with Henri and Jürgen at EuroTier.
The efforts didn’t stop even when the exhibition halls closed at the end of each day, as Simon organised client dinners (also attended by John and Henri), and Jürgen and Jordi attended educational animal health events organised by EuroTier.
After hours of meetings and many miles walked around Europe’s largest exhibition grounds, the EMEA team is congratulating itself on a week well spent.
