Recently the Marketing department made a change to the way we post to our social media profiles.
Previously, tweets and LinkedIn posts were manually created each time we had something to say. This was a time consuming process and it was difficult to recreate our core messages on a consistent basis.
Meet Edgar.
Edgar is a social media tool based on content libraries. The team can create posts in different categories and Edgar will pull from these libraries to keep posting content to social media consistently even when we aren’t in front of a computer. This means no matter the time zone, tweets about pathogen control, milling efficiency or general Anitox information will reach people around the world.
Did you know… the life span of a tweet is approximately 15 seconds! That’s how long it takes a post to move off the “front page” of the average person’s Twitter feed! Because of that you’ll see lots of repetition at various times of the day in the tweetosphere, not just from us, but from most major brands. That is also why most brands tweet up to 10 times a day (we keep it to 3 max).
If you follow us on Twitter (www.twitter.com/anitox) you have already seen the power of Edgar over the past few weeks. He powered our coverage during VIV and Midwest, sprinkling it with key benefits of Maxi-Mil and even showing off our 40th anniversary timeline (www.anitox.com/40years).
If you aren’t already following us on Twitter or LinkedIn, we invite you to join us and meet Edgar!
